In seven months, 251 people in Kazakhstan have been held accountable for violations involving fireworks. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded citizens of the rules for launching fireworks, as reported by infohub.kz.

Residents of multi-story buildings often set off fireworks in courtyards, including late at night. However, using fireworks in populated areas requires compliance with established requirements.

"The use of pyrotechnic products in populated areas is permitted only in compliance with established requirements. The legislation does not provide for exceptions for holidays, including New Year's Eve," the statement said.

According to the ministry's website, 237 people were punished specifically for using fireworks in populated areas over seven months. Another 14 were held accountable for violations of storage, use, transportation, and trade rules for such products.

The most cases were registered in major cities. In Astana, 74 people were held accountable, and in Almaty, 58.

"Special attention must be paid to safety issues. The use of uncertified fireworks and failure to follow basic safety rules can lead to serious injuries and fires," the ministry emphasized.

The police, together with the fire service, are conducting inspections of suppliers, warehouses, markets, and retail outlets. They are also suppressing spontaneous trade and the sale of uncertified fireworks.

Separately, the ministry reminded citizens of the need to observe quiet hours. Since the beginning of the year, more than 79,000 such violations have been identified nationwide, with over 78,000 people held accountable.

"The police urge citizens to take a responsible approach to organizing celebrations, comply with safety requirements, purchase only certified fireworks, and remember the peace of others," the statement said.

The ministry stressed that festive events should not pose a danger to people or disturb others.
