Kazakhstan will get one more toll road: the Aktobe-Kandyagash section of highway will be added to the Kandyagash-Makat toll route. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan published the corresponding order, the website infohub.kz reports.
Tolls will be differentiated. Drivers of passenger cars will pay only for the first 76.2 kilometers of the road. The cost for the full route with prepayment will be 0.0554 of the monthly calculation index (MCI), or 239.6 tenge. With postpayment, drivers will pay 0.0639 MCI — 276.4 tenge.
For vehicles registered in districts adjacent to the toll road, an annual pass is available at a cost of 1 MCI — 4,325 tenge in 2026.
Bus and truck drivers will have to pay for travel along the entire 469.5-kilometer route. The full cost ranges from 0.6114 MCI to 3.6172 MCI, that is, from 2,644.3 tenge to 15,644.4 tenge.
The cost of travel depends on the distance traveled, the vehicle category, its carrying capacity and the payment method.
The order was published on October 29 and will take effect on November 9 of this year.
It was previously reported how Kazakhstanis can save on travel on toll roads. Analysts also compared toll rates in Kazakhstan and other countries around the world. And recently, Vice Minister of Transport Maksat Kaliakparov said on the sidelines of the government that Kazakhstan may raise toll rates on toll roads.
