The Control, Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Kazakhstan Football Federation (CDEC KFF) has made a decision regarding the match between Petropavlovsk's Kyzylzhar and Ust-Kamenogorsk's Altai, reports the website infohub.kz.
The match, part of the 21st round, took place on August 8 in Ust-Kamenogorsk and ended in a 2:2 draw.
Ukrainian midfielder Oleksandr Noyok played for Kyzylzhar in this match. However, he also appeared on the field for Atyrau in another 21st-round match against Aktobe. That match had been postponed and took place on May 17.
The CDEC KFF regarded this as a breach of regulations. As a result, Kyzylzhar was handed a technical defeat with a score of 0:3.
The Petropavlovsk club disagreed with the decision. They stated that they "always adhere to the principles of Fair Play, honest sports competition, and respect for competition regulations."
"We are convinced that our club committed no illegitimate or unlawful actions, and all procedural steps were carried out in good faith and transparently," the Kyzylzhar statement said.
The Petropavlovsk club intends to take "appropriate legal measures" in the near future.
