Kazakhstan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has released data on job vacancies and salary expectations from the electronic labor exchange Enbek.kz for June 2026, reports infohub.kz.
According to the ministry, employers posted 108,700 vacancies last month, while job seekers published 126,700 resumes. Education led the demand by industry with 19,200 vacancies. Significant demand also remained in other services (16,500), agriculture, forestry and fishing (12,100), healthcare and social services (9,500), construction (8,400), and manufacturing (7,300).
The highest number of vacancies was posted in Turkistan region (12,300), Astana (8,500), Zhambyl region (7,000), and Karaganda region (6,700). High-skilled workers accounted for 25% of vacancies, with the remainder almost equally split between medium- and low-skilled positions.
Among job seekers, candidates under 35 dominated (49% of all resumes), notably higher than previous months and attributed to graduates entering the market. Those aged 35-44 made up 25%, 45-54 17%, and over 55 9%. Women accounted for 55% of job searches, men 45%.
The highest-paying vacancies in June included division director (about 1.98 million tenge), deputy head of department (about 1.38 million tenge), and well engineer (1.31 million tenge). The highest salary expectations were from candidates for pilot (about 3.4 million tenge), system architect (2.5 million tenge), and surgeon (2 million tenge).
“The June data reflects a recovery in business activity on the platform after May’s decline: demand and supply rose to their highest levels since the start of the year. The demand structure remains stable—employers’ main need is in the social sphere, services sector, and seasonal industries—while on the supply side, youth activity, including school and university graduates, has increased,” the ministry said.
Since the beginning of the year, the platform has seen 604,400 vacancies and 736,000 resumes. Earlier, the Kazakh government approved a Comprehensive Plan to Increase Incomes for 2026–2029, which outlines measures on wages, jobs, food prices, tax benefits, social support, and reducing the debt burden of Kazakh citizens.
