A man was severely injured after being hit by a moving train car at a railway station in the village of Krasivoye, Akmola region, reports infohub.kz.
The incident occurred on August 27. According to preliminary information, the man was on the tracks when the car began to move. Investigators are looking into the circumstances.
The victim sustained serious injuries to both arms and lost a lot of blood. He was taken to Esil District Hospital. It is known that the man was not a local resident; he had arrived from a neighboring region on a business trip.
The Department of Transport Police of Akmola region commented: "On August 27 of this year, a criminal case was opened by the transport police department at Kokshetau station on the fact of violation of traffic rules and operation of railway transport. Necessary investigative actions are currently underway. Further information is not subject to disclosure in accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
