Kazakh businessman Kairat Mazhibayev has channeled significant funds into developing new proprietary brands. Since the start of the year, investments in the portfolio of RG Brands have totaled 14.7 billion tenge, reports infohub.kz.

In its financial report, RG Brands notes that the company is implementing a strategy to develop its own brands in Central Asian markets. This follows the conclusion of a major franchise contract at the end of 2025, specifically the discontinuation of Pepsi beverage production.

The investments were directed at brand promotion, distribution and sales channel development, logistics, trade infrastructure, and its rebranding. Financing was carried out using the company's own funds.

Key brands in the new portfolio include Piala Ice Tea, AVA lemonades, and Salam Premium Cola. These brands have shown nearly twofold revenue growth and achieved high distribution and recognition metrics. RG Brands Kazakhstan's revenue in the first half of the year amounted to 54.9 billion tenge.

The company stated that the main goals of the investment program for the first half of the year have been achieved. Since July 1, 2026, RG Brands has transitioned from an active investment phase to a regular model of sustainable profitable growth.

RG Brands is owned by RG Brands Holding, registered in the UAE, whose owner is businessman Kairat Mazhibayev. He ranks 54th on the list of the wealthiest Kazakhs with a fortune of $192 million.

Earlier, RG Brands owner Kairat Mazhibayev announced that after 25 years of cooperation, the group had concluded its contract for the production of Pepsi beverages. The company will focus on developing its own brands, including the new Salam Premium Cola.
