A supercar once owned by Mike Tyson, one of the greatest boxers in history, is heading to auction. RM Sotheby's is offering a 1995 Ferrari F50 estimated at $7–9 million (roughly 3.3–4.3 billion tenge), according to infohub.kz.
According to the auction house, the Ferrari F50 with chassis number 104220 was built more than three decades ago in US-market specification. It is finished in the marque's signature Rosso Corsa red, with a Nero black interior featuring red seat inserts.
The supercar was delivered to Beverly Hills via Ferrari North America, where Tyson bought it. A year later, however, the boxer sold it to an owner named Amirvand, who kept it until 2000. The car then passed through several owners, including a tech mogul and collector from Atlanta. After the last owner's death, the Ferrari was offered for sale as part of his estate.
Despite its age, the Ferrari F50, with just 9,600 km on the clock, is in near-perfect condition. It was serviced at Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in 2022 and at Ferrari of Newport Beach ahead of the sale. The winning bidder will also receive original paperwork and a pair of boxing gloves signed by Tyson.
The Ferrari F50 was launched for the Italian marque's 50th anniversary as the successor to the iconic F40. It features a carbon-fiber monocoque and a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V12 based on the engine from Ferrari's 1992 Formula 1 car. Even without its famous former owner, the F50 is one of the most sought-after collector models, and Tyson's ownership only heightens interest in this example.
