Kazakhstan's Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the launch of a nationwide campaign, "We Are Nearby. Ask Us," aimed at supporting people facing domestic violence. Under the initiative, citizens will be able to receive legal advice and support, as well as report threats to their life and health, through the official Threads page of the ministry's Administrative Police Committee, the website infohub.kz reports.

Help is available not only to victims but also to witnesses of violence. The campaign is also intended for those who need legal advice but for various reasons hesitate to contact the police.

According to the ministry, anyone can leave a request on the official Threads page of the Administrative Police Committee and receive advice and clarification from specialists. If there is a threat to life and health, the information will be promptly forwarded to regional police units for the necessary response measures.

Particular attention is being paid to the accessibility of assistance. For the convenience of citizens, a special link is provided to an information resource that gathers current helpline numbers and contact details for crisis centers and support services across the country. By following the link, citizens can find the necessary contacts in their region and learn where to turn for advice and psychological, legal or other support.

Government agencies, public organizations, crisis centers and family support centers will also join the campaign. They will help resolve incoming issues within their areas of responsibility.

The Interior Ministry urged citizens not to remain indifferent to cases of violence and to seek help if it is needed by them or by those around them.
