French journalist and blogger Natasha Rey, known for claiming that French President Emmanuel Macron's wife Brigitte Macron was born male, has died in France. Her death was announced by French journalist Xavier Poussard on social media X, according to infohub.kz.
"It is with immense sadness that we learned of the death of Natasha Rey, which occurred on September 13 in Saintes (Charente-Maritime) from cancer. Natasha Rey, who was at the origin of the Brigitte Macron affair, will be buried in the Saint-Pallais cemetery," Xavier Poussard wrote.
In a post in French, the journalist specified that Natasha Rey would be interred in the Saint-Pallais cemetery in Saintes following a mass held at 2:30 p.m. at the Saint-Pallais church.
According to RIA Novosti, on September 13 the French journalist and blogger Natasha Rey won a defamation lawsuit in the Paris Court of Appeal against the wife of French President Brigitte Macron. The journalist's lawyer, François Danglehant, announced the outcome.
"Natasha Rey definitively won the defamation case brought against her by the clique of Brigitte Trogneux-Macron and Jean-Michel Trogneux," the lawyer said.
Recall that in the fall of 2024, a verdict was handed down in Paris against women who claimed that Macron's wife was born male. At the time, it was reported that they were given a suspended fine of 500 euros. In addition, they were ordered to pay 8,000 euros in compensation to Brigitte herself and 5,000 euros to her brother Jean-Michel Trogneux.
In July 2025, a Paris court acquitted Natasha Rey.
