Kazakhstani shoppers on Ozon may face order cancellations following a drone attack on the marketplace's logistics complex in Russia's Samara region. This could affect orders that were routed through the damaged warehouse. According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, citing Ozon's press service, such shipments will be canceled and customers will receive refunds... reports the website infohub.kz.
If an order already shows as canceled in your personal account, you can place it again. For orders that remain active, the marketplace intends to deliver them from other warehouses.
"If a customer sees in their personal account that their order has been canceled, they can immediately reorder it. If the order is not canceled, it means we will deliver those items from other warehouses," Ozon's press service said.
Products that were stored at the affected warehouse have been temporarily hidden from the marketplace's catalog. Additionally, Ozon has suspended receiving supplier deliveries to this logistics center for safety reasons. Sellers have been offered to choose other warehouses, and delivery routes will be redistributed among the company's other facilities.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Ozon's logistics complex in the Samara region was hit during a massive drone attack on the night of August 22. After the strike, a fire broke out on the warehouse premises, and more than 500 employees were evacuated within minutes, with some injuries reported.
The company said it would provide assistance to workers and their families. A hotline has been launched for them, and psychologists have been brought in to offer support.
Operations at the damaged warehouse have been suspended indefinitely. Ozon plans to assess the extent of the damage later.
Furthermore, on August 23, drones attacked Ozon's logistics center in the Orenburg region. According to available information, about 300 people were evacuated from there, and there are no preliminary reports of casualties.
