In Pavlodar, a young mother suffered a head injury after a chunk of ice fell from a height. She was walking with her baby in a stroller when the incident occurred. Police have opened a criminal case, according to infohub.kz.

According to the Telegram channel Kerek.pv, the incident happened on July 8 near a building on Nazarbayev Avenue. A video shows that the wound on the victim's head had to be stitched. Relatives say the perpetrator has not been found, and they are searching on their own for the person who may have thrown the ice from a window. The authors of the publication also claimed that the apartment from which the ice likely fell may belong to relatives of a police officer.

The Police Department of Pavlodar Region commented: "Police have opened a criminal case for intentional infliction of minor bodily harm. Officers have seized and reviewed CCTV footage, interviewed witnesses, and conducted other necessary investigative measures. The video shows the moment the object fell on the victim."

Police are now investigating all circumstances of the incident and identifying the person involved. The investigation is under special supervision of the regional police department's leadership.
