In Pavlodar, a woman pushing a stroller was injured when an object resembling a chunk of ice fell from a multi-story building, reports infohub.kz.
According to Orda.kz, citing the Telegram channel Kerek.pv, the incident occurred on July 8. Surveillance footage shows the woman letting go of the stroller in shock, causing it to roll down a sloping sidewalk, but she managed to catch it. The victim suffered a head injury; photos published online show that medical personnel had to stitch the wound.
No one has been held accountable for the incident so far. The Pavlodar Region Police Department stated that a criminal case has been opened for intentional minor bodily harm. Officers have seized CCTV recordings capturing the moment of the fall and interviewed witnesses.
"Comprehensive measures are being taken to identify the person responsible and bring them to justice," the police department added.
The investigation is under special supervision by the regional police leadership.
