A man has been detained in Poland on suspicion of harassing people with fake food orders. In one case, he ordered 300 pizzas at once, and another delivery cost exceeded 37,000 zlotys (about 4.6 million tenge), reports infohub.kz.

According to investigators, the suspect placed orders with cash on delivery to other people's addresses, listing the names of well-known politicians and media representatives as recipients.

In the order comments, the suspect left personal information about the victims and threats, including kidnapping a child, setting fire to a notary office, and causing a traffic accident.

Most deliveries were sent to Szczecin, but similar cases were also recorded in Wroclaw, Krakow, and Warsaw. Some orders could not be fulfilled by restaurants due to their scale, such as the order for 300 pizzas.

"The order descriptions contained information that could only be known to the victims themselves or their close ones," police said.

The suspect was detained at his place of residence. During a search, police seized electronic devices and data storage that could have been used to place the orders.

The court ordered the man to be held in custody for two months. He faces up to eight years in prison on the charges brought against him.
