In the Abai region, police officers promptly transported a five-year-old boy with a serious leg injury to the hospital. Thanks to their actions, the child was saved, reports infohub.kz.

According to Polisia.kz, the incident occurred in the village of Granitny in the Zhanasemey district. While playing in the yard, the boy tried to climb onto the front door, causing the glass to break, and a shard deeply cut his leg. The bleeding was severe and wouldn't stop, so the child's mother, frightened, stopped a patrol car on the Semey–Ust-Kamenogorsk highway and asked the officers for help.

Police officers Yelaman Masalimov and Medet Smagulov, assessing the seriousness of the situation, immediately seated the mother and child in the patrol car and headed to the hospital. The drive to the emergency department of the regional hospital took just 12 minutes. Upon arrival, the officers carried the boy in their arms and hurried to hand him over to doctors, who immediately performed emergency surgery.

The boy's mother expressed immense gratitude to the police: "My child's leg wouldn't stop bleeding, and I was very scared. I didn't know what to do, and seeing the police on the road, I asked for their help. They immediately helped us and put the child in the car. In just 12 minutes, they got us to the hospital. For me, that was enormous help at that moment. I thank the police from the bottom of my heart."

The police emphasized that in such situations, every minute counts. Thanks to the swift actions of law enforcement officers, the child received the necessary medical care in time.
