In the Zhambyl region, an 18-year-old pregnant woman was brutally attacked by her husband. The incident occurred at a cemetery, where the man took her against her will. Police have opened a criminal case, reports infohub.kz.

According to a post on the social network Threads, citing human rights activist Lyazzat Rakisheva, the man's anger was triggered by his wife leaving the house without his permission. The aggressor forcibly put his wife in the car and drove to the cemetery, hitting her on the head along the way.

At the cemetery, the abuse continued: the man took her phone to check it, threatened her with a knife, strangled her, and hit her in the face. Due to the ordeal and the beating, her waters broke and she went into labor right at the cemetery. However, this did not stop her husband, who held her there for over an hour, saying that her tears and pain only made him angrier.
