In the Talgar district of the Almaty region, a tourist required emergency rescue assistance after being unable to descend from the mountains on his own. The incident occurred at an altitude of about 3,400 meters above sea level, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the tourist's health suddenly deteriorated, leaving him unable to continue descending through the difficult mountain terrain. Rescuers from the regional rescue service "Barys" immediately flew to the scene on a departmental helicopter, heading to the area of moraine lake No. 19, where the victim was located.

The rescuers successfully evacuated the tourist. The Kazaviaspas helicopter landed at the helipad near City Clinical Hospital No. 4 in Almaty. The victim was handed over to the Disaster Medicine Center team for further transport to a medical facility and provision of necessary assistance.

Rescuers remind: before heading into the mountains, it is essential to soberly assess your physical fitness, health condition, and weather forecast. If you feel unwell, seek help immediately without waiting for a critical condition.
