A foreign streamer will be banned from entering Kazakhstan for five years following her scandalous and provocative remarks about the country, according to infohub.kz.
In recent days, Kazakhstani social media users have been actively discussing the statements of a well-known Russian streamer, who made controversial comments about Kazakhstan during her broadcasts. For instance, the Instagram account Kznews.kaz posted a compilation of her words from various streams, where she compared Kazakhstan to Pakistan and speculated about which country's residents have a higher IQ. In another broadcast, she made remarks about Pavlodar.
"No, Pavlodar is ours, it sounds like ours, it cannot be Kazakhstani," the streamer said during one of the broadcasts.
Additionally, users of the Kazakhstani segment of the internet complained about her use of profanity and other scandalous statements. Today, correspondents of NUR.KZ were told by the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Police Department of Astana about the progress of the investigation. It was reported that during monitoring of social networks, streams of a foreign citizen, G.K., were identified, in which she made provocative and inappropriate remarks.
"The foreign citizen was brought to administrative responsibility by a court decision in the form of a fine. Measures have been taken for her departure from the country in accordance with the established legal procedure. In accordance with the legislation, she will be restricted from entering Kazakhstan for a period of five years. Kazakhstan is open to foreign citizens and guests of the country. At the same time, being on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan implies strict compliance with the law, as well as a respectful attitude towards the country, its citizens, and generally accepted norms of behavior," the DP and MIA stated.
