President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov, reports infohub.kz.
During the meeting, the head of state heard a report on the Fund's activities, the implementation of key production and financial indicators, as well as the progress of major infrastructure projects.
Zhakupov reported that in 2026, Samruk-Kazyna plans to complete investment projects worth 3.2 trillion tenge. These include the construction of the Moiynty-Kyzylzhar and Darbaza-Maktaaral railway lines, modernization of the Altynkol-Zhetygen and Beyneu-Mangistau sections, construction of a gas processing plant at the Kashagan field, modernization of Almaty CHP-2, construction of a combined-cycle gas turbine plant in the Turkestan region, and a hybrid power plant. Additionally, the construction of a data center in Astana and the laying of a fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea are nearing completion.
Zhakupov also presented information on the Fund's investment portfolio. "In this direction, in 2027-2029, the implementation of 38 projects worth 21 trillion tenge is planned in the areas of energy, oil and gas, transport, and digital infrastructure. As social priorities, the construction of medical and social facilities, the opening of 55 centers for children with disabilities and 46 inclusion classrooms, as well as the development of sports and educational infrastructure are considered," the Fund's chairman specified.
Following the meeting, the president set a number of tasks in the main areas of the Fund's work.
