Social payments in Kazakhstan reached 3.3 trillion tenge in the first half of 2026, covering 4.6 million people, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. The figures were announced at an expanded meeting chaired by Minister Askarbek Yertayev, where officials reviewed half-year results and outlined plans for the remainder of the year, reports infohub.kz.
Yertayev noted that the state continues to implement social policy and fulfills its obligations to citizens on time. In 2026, 6.8 trillion tenge has been allocated for social payments. According to Yertayev, ensuring payment stability and further improving the effectiveness of social support measures remain key priorities.
The meeting was attended by ministry employees, representatives of central and local executive bodies, committees, subordinate organizations, and members of the Public Council.
