A number of leading American news outlets have announced a boycott of US President Donald Trump's administration: television networks have suspended pooled coverage of events involving the White House chief. As a result, Trump's speech in video from the latest event was inaudible, and the broadcast had to be conducted using their own resources, without the usual audio feed typically provided by the television pool, according to infohub.kz.
This came after the White House barred CNN from participating in the presidential pool. The other pool members — ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and Fox News — refused to appoint a replacement in a show of solidarity with the network.
It later emerged that the White House is launching "Trump TV" following the media boycott. A scheduled broadcast titled "TRUMP TV: The Essentials Station" appeared on the official White House YouTube channel.
In addition, Donald Trump said on his Truth Social page that he promised to file an appeal after the media outlets went to court over being denied access to the White House.
"We will appeal, because representatives and outlets of Fake News, which write only negative material and, with their false and defamatory publications based on unknown 'sources,' undermine our national security, should not be allowed access to the most important office in the world. It is called the Oval Office, and it should be treated with decency, respect, and dignity, not desecrated by the presence of third-rate clowns who deliberately distort, twist, and smear everything they write or publish," Trump said.
The White House chief accused the media of making every news story about him negative, erroneous, and even dangerous to the United States.
Recall that on September 18, the US president announced that he was banning correspondents from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from access to the White House, claiming these outlets spread fake news. The very next day, journalists from these outlets reported that they were not allowed into the White House. After that, Donald Trump posted an image of garbage bags with the logos of CNN, MSNBC, and Politico. It later became known that three news organizations whose journalists were barred from the White House last week filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump.
