A seven-story residential building partially collapsed in eastern Istanbul, trapping people under the rubble as rescuers pulled out several injured, according to infohub.kz.
RIA Novosti reported that the collapse occurred in the eastern part of the Turkish metropolis. Istanbul Governor Davut Gül said people were trapped under the debris.
According to the governor, three floors of the seven-story building caved in. The building was constructed in 1987 and housed 33 people in its 12 apartments.
Local broadcaster NTV, cited by TASS, reported that rescue operations at the site are ongoing and residents are being evacuated. Three people have been pulled from the rubble, including a 14-year-old teenager. All the injured were taken to hospital.

According to Anadolu Ajansı, four people were pulled alive from the debris, two of them children. Search and rescue teams from AFAD, UMKE and firefighters are working to reach people believed to remain under the rubble. Due to the risk of further collapse, rescuers are entering the building with caution.
İstanbul İtfaiyesi reported that the lower two floors of a six-story building collapsed on Doğu Street in the Cevizli neighborhood of Maltepe district. Emergency services are working at the scene.
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül specified that four apartments on the second and third floors were affected by the collapse. According to him, five of 12 people were rescued, contact has been established with four of the remaining seven, and the search for three others continues.
