According to the official website of the akimat, an aerial survey was conducted near the village of Zhanatogan in the Karkaraly district. No new hotbeds of fire were detected, and there is no threat to populated areas. An operational headquarters is working at the Department of Emergency Situations to coordinate actions.
The akim of the Karaganda region, Ermaganbet Bulekpaev, listened to reports from the head of the Department of Emergency Situations and district akims at a staff meeting.
"Steppe fires were recorded in the Shet, Aktogay, Bukhar-Zhyrau, and Karkaraly districts. To localize and eliminate fires and protect populated areas, the forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and local executive bodies have been involved. 620 personnel and 134 units of equipment have been dispatched. Constant monitoring of the situation is being carried out," said the head of the Department of Emergency Situations, Margulan Amanbaev.
According to him, the situation is complicated by strong winds.
In the Karkaraly district, two people were injured - men born in 1989 and 1970. They sought medical help. One has 10% burns, the other has 20%. Both are currently in the hospital. Their condition is stable.
According to the akim of the Karkaraly district, Sayat Musin, two groups are carrying out fire-fighting measures near the village of Zhanatogan. 159 personnel and 52 units of equipment are involved. He also reported that three fires near wintering grounds in the area of the village of Besoba have been extinguished.
In the Aktogay and Shet districts, the situation is stable and under control. Natural fires have been eliminated.
"The danger of steppe fires persists due to hot weather and strong winds. Control must be constant, and local akimats need to work in close contact with the Department of Emergency Situations," noted Ermaganbet Bulekpaev.
Recall that earlier it became known that in the Karkaraly district of the Karaganda region, rescuers are extinguishing a fire of dry vegetation around the clock.
