Strong winds and heat to hit several regions of Kazakhstan on July 15

Kazhydromet has issued a storm warning for most regions of the country, according to the website infohub.kz.

In Aktobe region, light rain and thunderstorms are expected at night in the north and center, with rain, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls in the east and center during the day. Winds will shift from southeast to west, with gusts of 15-20 m/s, occasionally 23 m/s, in the north, east, and south during the day. Intense heat of 35-36°C is forecast during the day. High fire danger persists in the west, south, and east, with extreme fire danger in the southeast. Very intense heat of 40°C is expected in the south of Aktobe region during the day.

In Atyrau region, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the north and east, with light rain and thunderstorms in the south. High fire danger persists in the west and southeast.

In West Kazakhstan region, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the west, north, and east, with hail and squalls during the day. Winds will be northwest, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in the west, north, and east during the day. Intense heat of 36°C is expected in the south during the day. High fire danger persists in the west.

In Mangystau region, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the northeast. Fog is expected at night and in the morning in the west. Winds will be west to northwest, 15-18 m/s in the west during the day. High fire danger persists in the north, east, and center.

In Akmola region, rain, thunderstorms, squalls, and dust storms are expected in the west, north, and east, with hail during the day. Winds will shift from southeast to northwest, with gusts of 15-20 m/s, occasionally 25 m/s, in the west, north, and east.

In Astana, brief rain, thunderstorms, and squalls are expected. Winds will shift from southeast to northwest, with occasional gusts of 15-20 m/s.
