A criminal case has been opened in Shymkent after a minor sustained a knife wound to the leg. The incident occurred in the dendropark, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Instagram account kritika_shymkent, on August 17, a fight involving teenagers took place in the dendropark. The post read: "Right next to the cash register, food truck workers stabbed each other in the leg. What kind of lawlessness is this, where are the parents and management looking? The children are minors, without adults, with a knife."
The press service of the Shymkent Police Department confirmed the fact of bodily harm and reported that a criminal case has been opened. It turned out that the victim was alone.
"The participants in the incident have been identified. The injured teenager was taken to the hospital. Currently, all circumstances of what happened are being clarified, including the causes of the conflict. The legal representatives of the minors are being considered for prosecution for improper fulfillment of duties in raising and ensuring the safety of children," the police clarified.
The Shymkent Police Department assured that based on the results of the check, all those involved will be given a proper legal assessment and measures provided for by law will be taken.
