In the next three days, Kazakhstan is set to experience a sharp weather change due to a clash of warm and cold air. Forecasters at Kazhydromet predict heavy precipitation and intense heat, reports infohub.kz.
Most of the country will see brief rains with thunderstorms, gusty winds and hail. Particularly heavy downpours are expected in the East Kazakhstan region. The exception will be the south of Kazakhstan, where dry and hot air masses from Iran will prevent any precipitation.
Temperatures will gradually rise across nearly all regions, except the west. Daytime highs in northern areas could reach +30 to +38°C, while in the southern half, they may hit +33 to +44°C.
Today, July 27, a storm warning has been issued for nearly all regions of Kazakhstan. In the west, northeast, east, central part, and mountainous areas of the southeast, rain with thunderstorms is expected, with hail and squalls in places, and heavy rain in the east. Winds will strengthen in several regions; dust storms are possible in the west, south, southwest and north, and fog may occur in places in the north and east at night and in the morning.
