President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqaev, speaking in his state-of-the-nation address, declared the upcoming year 2027 the Year of Nationwide Construction, the website infohub.kz reports.

The head of state proposed designating the coming year 2027 as the Year of Nationwide Construction. According to him, under this initiative Kazakhstanis will need to launch the construction and renewal of civilian infrastructure — in every regional center, district and even in small settlements.

"Thus, our collective, nationwide response to the approaching era of artificial intelligence is construction, construction and more construction! In particular, we must begin building roads, airports, transport hubs and healthcare facilities, including rehabilitation centers for children with special needs," the president said.

According to him, creativity centers, sports complexes, libraries and science hubs must appear in all regions.

"Of course, housing construction also remains a top priority. The Constitution defines improving the well-being of citizens as a strategic priority of the state. I want to emphasize: all these undertakings are being carried out for the benefit of the entire country — and, above all, for the sake of the younger generation," the president concluded.
