NVIDIA Vice President Rev Lebaredian met with Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev to outline the company's plans to take part in the next phase of the Data Center Valley project in Ekibastuz, infohub.kz reports.
The two sides discussed cooperation in artificial intelligence, digital technology and computing infrastructure. The head of state noted NVIDIA's role in building the global AI ecosystem and stressed the importance of expanding its practical use in priority sectors of Kazakhstan's economy.
The meeting noted that cooperation already has a practical foundation: two supercomputer clusters based on NVIDIA technology have been launched in the country.
Particular attention was paid to Data Center Valley. The project envisages computing infrastructure with a capacity of about 300 MW, with the possibility of further expansion to 1 GW. The president emphasized the importance of agreements with NVIDIA and Firebird for its implementation.
Rev Lebaredian praised the development of AI infrastructure in Kazakhstan and spoke about the company's plans to participate in the next phase of the project. The two also discussed workforce training and the development of the country's technology ecosystem.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that at the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 exhibition, the president was shown an AI-Enabled University model based on Qazaq AI Research University, the Trusted Kazakhstan and ALFA projects, and new features of the Aitu messenger. Visitors to the exhibition were also introduced to smart solutions from Samruk-Kazyna and Higgsfield.ai.
