Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory message to King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand on his birthday, infohub.kz reports.
In the message, the president emphasized the special significance of the holiday for the Thai people, noting that it symbolizes the kingdom's sustainable development, national heritage, and spiritual values.
Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan's intention to further expand bilateral cooperation, built on bonds of friendship and mutual support. He wished the king success in his responsible duties and the friendly people of Thailand well-being and prosperity.
In mid-July this year, Tokayev held talks with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. During the meeting, the president noted that he views the Kingdom as one of Kazakhstan's key partners in Southeast Asia. Thailand is among the most popular destinations for Kazakh tourists: in 2025 alone, more than 150,000 citizens visited the country. Charnvirakul, for his part, expressed Thailand's interest in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan across a wide range of issues. At the end of the conversation, the president invited Thai people to spend their winter holidays in Kazakhstan. Earlier, it was reported that Tokayev had been invited to visit Cambodia.
