A tour boat carrying 115 people caught fire and sank off the coast of Turkey near the town of Fethiye in Katrancı Bay, according to infohub.kz.

The fire started in the kitchen and quickly spread across the vessel, the Telegram channel SHOT reported. Two people were injured after inhaling smoke and were hospitalized; the rest of the passengers declined medical assistance.

According to RIA Novosti, citing the local agency DHA, the fire broke out at around 11:00 local time (13:00 in Astana) in the kitchen of the boat Toys Boat. Passengers, including children, put on life jackets and jumped into the water. Preliminary reports indicate no fatalities.

Footage posted on social media shows flames rapidly engulfing the vessel while people in life jackets are in the water. Coast guard units, maritime safety services, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Nearby boats also joined the evacuation efforts.

According to preliminary data, the boat was largely burned out and began to sink. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
