In Almaty, a Howo truck caused a series of collisions, hitting a parked car, a tree, and a bus stop pavilion. The incident occurred on the morning of August 20, reports the website infohub.kz.
Video from the scene appeared on the Telegram channel kris_p_almaty. Witnesses reported that the truck was moving along Shalyapin Street and crashed into the bus stop complex.
A NUR.KZ correspondent contacted the Almaty Police Department for comment. There, it was confirmed that the accident occurred around 09:20 in the Auezov district.
According to police, the driver of the truck failed to take measures to prevent the vehicle from moving spontaneously. As a result, the truck hit a BYD car parked on the southern side of the road, then continued moving and veered onto the northern side, where it collided with a stone curb, a tree, and a bus stop kiosk.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. Currently, officers of the Auezov District Police Department are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
