Temporary restrictions on heavy truck traffic have been introduced on a highway in the Almaty region. The measures will remain in effect until the end of September, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the national operator KazAvtoZhol, starting September 3 at 13:00, due to medium-scale repair works, truck traffic is restricted on the section of the KZ05-10 highway Almaty — Tonkeris — Baiserke — Mezhdurechenskoye — Astana-Almaty road. The restriction covers the stretch from the 20th kilometer (Kokterek village) to the 51st kilometer (Aksai village).
The organization clarified that a temporary detour has been arranged for the affected section. The detour will use the republican highways Almaty — Konayev, Konayev — Kurty, Almaty — Shelek — Khorgos, as well as the local road Baiserke — Ali.
The restrictions are expected to be lifted approximately on September 30. KazAvtoZhol urged drivers to plan their routes in advance, obey traffic signs, and follow safety rules when using detour routes. They also reminded that additional information is available around the clock by calling the Call Center at 1403.
