US President Donald Trump, speaking in Las Vegas, again sharply criticized Canada, saying that it, along with other trading partners, had long benefited at the expense of American tariffs. According to him, the imposed tariffs have brought significant profits to the United States, reports infohub.kz.
"Because we were ripped off by tariffs for many years — by China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, everyone, even Canada. Canada is nasty. Seriously. They are nasty. People think: Canada. But they are nasty. I love the people, but they are nasty. Nasty leadership. And Mexico. They all did it to us," the American leader said.
During his speech, Trump specifically addressed relations with the northern neighbor, again criticizing its leadership. "Canada is nasty. Yes, they are nasty. I love the people, but they have nasty, nasty leadership," the US president said about Canada. As the publication notes, Trump made these remarks while criticizing US allies, accusing them of using tariffs against the American economy.
