US President Donald Trump said he has already decided how to punish Canada for the wildfire smoke that has blanketed American cities, but he did not reveal details, according to infohub.kz.

On board the presidential plane, journalists asked the American leader whether he had determined what measures to take against the neighboring country. "Yes," Trump replied briefly.

The politician did not elaborate, only noting that the information would be made public later.

Earlier, Trump threatened to impose tariffs on Canada, linking them to the wildfire smoke. He also accused Canadian authorities of deliberately failing to take necessary measures to prevent the fires.

According to the American leader, the consequences of the fires have led to multi-billion-dollar losses for the United States.
