American actor Vin Diesel couldn't hold back tears while reading the script for the final installment of the iconic 'Fast & Furious' franchise. He shared his emotions at a special screening of the first film in Los Angeles, marking the series' 25th anniversary, as reported by infohub.kz.

According to Diesel, the script for 'Fast & Furious Forever' took about four years to develop, with several teams of writers involved. The actor admitted that the final version is a worthy conclusion to the story.

"By the end of the script, which we worked on for four years, I was crying. I couldn't help it," Diesel was quoted as saying.

Filming for the final movie is planned to begin in December 2026. The film will be the eleventh and last in the main series, with its premiere scheduled for March 17, 2028.

Director Louis Leterrier, who helmed 'Fast X' and is set to direct the finale, admitted he hasn't read the script yet. However, he knows the franchise will have an ending, and he calls it great.

For the record, the first 'Fast & Furious' came out in 2001, and throughout the series, Vin Diesel has played the lead role of Dominic Toretto.

Earlier, it was reported that NBC Universal is preparing four series set in the 'Fast & Furious' universe, which will stream on Peacock.
