Volkswagen has revealed the specifications of its fully electric ID. Tiguan crossover, which will replace the ID.4 and ID.5 models. The new model features updated styling, physical buttons and a digital cabin with a dedicated screen for the front passenger, according to infohub.kz.

The ID. Tiguan's exterior follows the brand's Pure Positive design language. Up front, slim headlights are linked by a light bar, while LED taillights sit at the rear. Unlike its predecessor, the crossover has conventional door handles. In the Style trim, the Volkswagen logos at the front and rear are illuminated.

The cabin features a digital instrument cluster and a 15-inch central display. Volkswagen has also brought back physical buttons for certain functions. A separate 12-inch screen for the front passenger is available at extra cost. It can run apps and games, play movies and plan routes while the driver keeps their eyes on the road. The passenger can also control some vehicle functions, including their own seat heating.

The Volkswagen ID. Tiguan will be offered in three versions. The entry-level rear-wheel-drive model produces 190 hp and comes with a 58 kWh battery providing up to 450 km of range. The mid-range version gets a 286-hp motor and a 77 kWh battery, good for up to 600 km. The range-topping variant with 4MOTION all-wheel drive and two electric motors delivers 299 hp and covers up to 560 km on a single charge.

Volkswagen positions the ID. Tiguan as an electric crossover for everyday driving and travel. It can carry bicycles and tow a trailer or camper. The new model will be sold alongside the Tiguan, which comes with petrol and hybrid powertrains. Prices have not yet been announced.

Earlier, Kursiv Auto reported that Volkswagen had unveiled its most powerful production GTI, and it is electric.
