The White House has introduced an unusual section on its official website: a collection of five arcade games designed to promote key initiatives of President Donald Trump. The projects are styled after classic video games of the past, including Tetris, Snake, and Flappy Bird, reports infohub.kz.
The first game, called Build the Wall, is a parody of Tetris. Players must stack falling blocks to build a wall and protect the border. The migration theme is also featured in Rio Run, a Snake-like game where a character moves across the field and catches violators. Notably, in the White House version, all violators are non-white.
To promote healthy eating initiatives, the game Supply Line was created. In this arcade, products move along a conveyor belt, and the player's task is to filter out items with additives and dyes in time. This way, players protect children so that America can "be healthy again."
Two more games take place in the skies over Washington. In Flappy Bill, inspired by Flappy Bird, the user controls a bald eagle carrying a bill. In Trump Savings Tycoon, players catch flying money with a net to fund special child investment accounts launched by the administration.
To promote the collection on social media, the White House used funny videos parodying loading screens and logos of well-known gaming platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and Sega.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario to "Lake America." When asked by journalists what signal he wanted to send to Canada with this renaming, Trump replied: "None."
