August's security patch for Windows 11 has caused numerous problems on users' computers, reports infohub.kz.

The mandatory update KB5121003, released on August 11, contained fixes for over 400 system vulnerabilities. However, immediately after installation, PC owners began mass complaints about serious device malfunctions. In particular, users are encountering video game crashes, login errors, display issues, and blue screens of death.

Gamers have been hit hardest. According to reports, the update broke system compatibility with a certain driver. As a result, popular titles ARC Raiders and The Finals from studio Embark Games now crash regularly. Game developers are already working on a solution, and in the meantime recommend users temporarily disable the problematic driver via the command line.

Microsoft has officially responded to user complaints and launched an investigation into the cause of the bugs. Company representatives urge affected users to submit detailed reports through the Feedback Hub. Alternatively, PC owners can fully uninstall the update, but this leaves the system vulnerable to critical security flaws.
