A fatal accident occurred at the Pustynnoye mining and processing plant, part of AK Altynalmas JSC, around 11:30 a.m. on July 23, according to infohub.kz.
The company reported that the victim was Karim Rymbaev, a conveyor operator at the gold recovery plant of the Pustynnoye mining and processing plant.
“The causes and circumstances of the incident are being determined by the authorized authorities,” the company said in an official statement.
AK Altynalmas expressed condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.
“The company will provide all necessary assistance and support to the family,” the statement said.
The company also urged the public not to spread unverified information about the incident.
“Dissemination of false or unverified information that distorts the actual circumstances of the incident and could damage the company’s business reputation may lead to liability under the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” AK Altynalmas said.
The company asked that only official information from authorized state bodies and the plant’s press service be used.
