Two 19-year-old residents of the village of Sarykemer in Kazakhstan's Zhambyl region have been sentenced to 30 hours of community service and a fine of 86,000 tenge for staging fights during TikTok live streams to solicit donations, according to infohub.kz.
According to the Baizak District Court, in July 2026, the woman and the young man broadcast from home. To attract donations and viewers, they deliberately inflicted physical harm on each other and repeatedly used profanity.
"During live streams on TikTok, the young people deliberately caused physical harm to each other and repeatedly used obscene language in order to receive donations and attract an audience," the court said.
The participants' guilt was confirmed by administrative protocols, social media monitoring materials, their explanations, and a video recording of the stream. The woman fully admitted her guilt, expressed remorse, and requested community service due to her difficult financial situation. The court took these circumstances into account and sentenced her to 30 hours of community service. The young man also admitted guilt and requested a fine — the court fined him 86,000 tenge.
Both were found guilty of petty hooliganism under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Administrative Code. The court decisions have not yet entered into force.
