Kazakhstan's Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova, together with Yesset Baiken, akim of the Ulytau region, inspected the site of a new polyclinic under construction in the Western district of Zhezkazgan. The three-storey building, with an area of 8,400 square metres, is designed for 250 visits per shift, the website infohub.kz reports.
The project is being implemented with support from the digital operator Beeline, part of Bulat Utemuratov's Verny Capital group of companies. The group runs social and infrastructure projects on a systematic basis, aimed at sustainable solutions with a long-term impact and at improving the quality of life for the people of Kazakhstan. As Beeline Kazakhstan explained, the operator carries out its charitable activities through its own Zhyly Zhurek Foundation. Foundation representatives briefed on the progress of construction and its key stages. Those taking part in the meeting also discussed equipping the polyclinic with modern medical equipment and preparing the facility for commissioning.
"Today we are moving to a new stage in the development of the country's medical infrastructure. This is not just about building new buildings, but about shaping a modern and accessible healthcare system that takes into account the needs and growth prospects of each region. The new polyclinic in Zhezkazgan will become an important social facility for the city's developing district. Residents should be able to receive high-quality primary, consultative, diagnostic and specialised care close to where they live, without having to travel long distances," Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova said during the site visit.
The polyclinic will house consultative and diagnostic rooms, a day hospital, a radiology department, a clinical diagnostic laboratory, an outpatient surgery centre and a women's clinic. A separate ambulance station with nine crews will be built nearby.
The Western district is one of Zhezkazgan's main development areas. More than 80 multi-storey residential buildings are planned there, and the district's population is expected to reach 18,000 in the future. The polyclinic will become a key social facility for the district and will ease the burden on the city's existing medical institutions. The facility will not be the first social project of the Verny Capital group of companies in Zhezkazgan. Earlier, in June 2026, the Shabyt modern children's and youth creativity centre, costing 4 billion tenge and designed to accommodate up to 600 children a day, opened in the same district.
"The construction of the polyclinic is one of the most significant projects of our foundation, whose mission is to create equal opportunities for people. We are convinced that every person, regardless of where they live, should have access to quality medical care. It is important to us not just to erect a modern building, but to create a medical institution that will benefit the residents of Zhezkazgan every day. We consistently take part in developing the social infrastructure of the regions and support projects that contribute to long-term improvements in people's quality of life," said Anar Zhumagulova, director of the Zhyly Zhurek Foundation.
Construction of the polyclinic is ongoing. Once commissioned, it will become part of Zhezkazgan's primary healthcare system, and residents of the Western district will have access to modern medical care close to home.
