A 22-year-old resident of Aktobe committed 33 traffic violations in three days while attempting to evade photo and video enforcement cameras. The total fines exceeded 1.3 million tenge, reports infohub.kz.
During the operational preventive campaign 'Safe Road,' patrol police officers identified a repeat offender. The young man took his father's Toyota without permission, fitted it with foreign license plates, and drove around the city. In three days, he violated traffic rules 33 times, mostly for speeding.
Administrative charges have been filed against the offender, and the car has been impounded. Police reminded that changing license plates does not make a vehicle 'invisible' to photo and video enforcement cameras, and urged drivers to follow traffic rules for the safety of all road users.
It is noted that from July 11 to 16, the republican preventive campaign 'Safe Road' is also taking place in Almaty, with police operating in enhanced mode and focusing on dangerous traffic violations.
