Almaty residents can expect the city's heating season to conclude soon, with a phased shutdown of heating systems commencing on April 3rd. This decision comes as the city experiences a significant warming trend, with average daily temperatures expected to remain above +8 degrees Celsius for five consecutive days.

Phased Shutdown Process

The process of disconnecting heating will be carried out in stages. Administrative buildings will be the first to have their heating turned off, followed by residential buildings. Social facilities will be the last to be disconnected from the central heating supply.

Smooth Heating Season

According to the Department of Energy and Water Supply, this year's heating season proceeded without major issues. The supply of heat and electricity remained stable, and temperature schedules were consistently maintained. Significant efforts were made last year to enhance the reliability of the heating system, including the renovation of 39 kilometers of heating networks and repairs to 17 boiler houses, with work also conducted on 67 other boiler units.
