Astana to Grant One-Time Payments to Thousands of Mothers for March 8
In a gesture of recognition for International Women's Day, the Astana city administration has announced a one-time social payment for nearly 37,000 large families and mothers. This initiative aims to honor and support women in the capital city.
Who is Eligible for the Payment?
The payment, set at 2.5 times the Monthly Calculation Index (MCI), amounts to 10,813 Kazakhstani Tenge. This financial support will be extended to mothers and large families registered and residing permanently in Astana. Specifically, mothers awarded the "Altyn Alka" (Golden Necklace) or "Kumis Alka" (Silver Necklace) will also receive this benefit, including those from low-income households.
The distribution of these payments will be managed by the Department of Employment and Social Protection of Astana city, following established regulations for providing social assistance to specific categories of citizens in need.
Previous Year's Support
This is not the first time such a measure has been implemented. Last year, approximately 36,000 large families and mothers in Astana received a similar one-time payment in observance of March 8th, highlighting a continued commitment to supporting these groups.
