Atyrau residents are grappling with widespread power outages after heavy rainfall and strong winds swept through the city, leaving thousands of homes in darkness. The disruptions have affected multiple districts, with emergency situations reported at several substations.

Affected Areas and Repair Efforts

According to the city administration's press service, a temporary interruption occurred on a 10 kV line supplying electricity to numerous streets, including Qyzǵaldaq, Aqjaılaý, Jolashar, Zhubanova, Mechnikova, Adyras, Kereıhan, Keleshek, Aqtanberdi-Jyrau, Stantsionnaya, Quspan-Molla, Bekqaliev, Maqataev, Boran Nysanbaev, and Nazhymedenov.

Residents in areas such as Qurylykino, Kókarana, Rybnik, Khymik, Sudoremontnik, and the microdistricts of Zhuldyz, Balaýsa, Erkinqala, Tomarly, as well as parts of Avangard (microdistricts 3-4), Rakushe, Zhumysker, and Bereke, have reported power losses.

Elvira Rahymzhanqyzy, spokesperson for "Atyrau Zharyq" LLP, confirmed that eight specialized repair crews are actively working to restore electricity. She noted that the power supply is being gradually reinstated.

Cause of the Outages

Preliminary information suggests that the emergency shutdowns were a direct result of the intense rainfall. As of the evening, power had not yet been fully restored to all affected parts of the city.
