Fire Engulfs Akimat Building in Aktobe, Evacuations Underway

A fire erupted on the roof of the six-story regional administration building in Aktobe on the evening of April 7th, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

Firefighters were dispatched to the administrative building, located on Abylkhair Khan Avenue, and immediately began efforts to extinguish the blaze that had engulfed the roof structure.

Firefighting Operations Underway

The Department of Emergency Situations (DES) reported that their forces and equipment arrived at the scene within five minutes of the alarm. Specialized equipment and personnel were mobilized to combat the open flames. Efforts are currently focused on fully extinguishing the fire and ensuring a stable water supply for the operation.

Evacuation measures were also implemented to ensure the safety of individuals inside the building.

No Casualties Reported So Far

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), an operational headquarters has been established at the site. As of the latest reports, there is no information regarding any casualties or injuries resulting from the incident. The exact area affected by the fire is still being determined.

Later, the MES announced that the fire had been contained, though firefighting operations were continuing.
