A significant fire that erupted in Almaty on Wednesday evening was successfully extinguished by Thursday morning, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan. The swift and coordinated response by firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings.

Fire Containment Efforts

The fire, which covered an area of 1,900 square meters, was brought under control through the dedicated efforts of 85 personnel and 22 firefighting units. A command post was established, and operations were divided into three main sectors to efficiently tackle the blaze. The ministry's specialized train was also deployed to assist in the operation.

Challenges and Success

The firefighting efforts were complicated by the structural features of the building and the high fire load. Despite these challenges, the team managed to contain the fire without any reported injuries. The successful operation highlights the effectiveness of the emergency services in handling such critical situations.
