Iran Threatens Major US Tech Firms with Attacks
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stark warning, threatening to strike facilities belonging to prominent US technology giants. The IRGC claims these companies have been involved in "terrorist operations" against Iran.
Targeted Companies
A statement released on the IRGC's Telegram channel identified a list of 18 companies that could face repercussions. Among those named are major players in the tech industry, including Microsoft, Apple, and Google. The list also features other significant corporations such as Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Meta, IBM, Dell, Nvidia, Palantir, JPMorgan, GE, and Boeing.
Allegations and Warnings
The IRGC alleges that these companies have participated in planning and directing attacks against Iran. In a move to potentially mitigate casualties, the organization urged employees of the targeted companies to evacuate their workplaces immediately. Residents in areas surrounding these facilities were also advised to stay at least one kilometer away from the sites.
Imminent Threat
The threats were set to take effect starting at 8:00 PM Tehran time on April 1st (9:30 PM Astana time). This announcement follows a previous warning in mid-March from Iran's "Khatam al-Anbiya" military headquarters, which indicated potential strikes against US and Israeli-affiliated targets and banking infrastructure.
