Kazakhstan is set to experience a dramatic shift in weather as the recent cold snap recedes, paving the way for significantly warmer temperatures. Forecasters predict that in some areas, thermometers could climb as high as +28 degrees Celsius.

Spring Forecast Released

Meteorologists from Kazhydromet have issued their weather outlook for April 18th, 19th, and 20th. According to their data, the northern, eastern, and central parts of Kazakhstan will remain under the influence of an anticyclone, leading to dry conditions with lingering light frosts. However, a gradual warming trend is expected as air masses shift.

Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Some Regions

In contrast, the western and southern regions of the country are anticipated to face more unsettled weather. These areas could see rain and thunderstorms. Mountainous areas in the southern provinces may experience a mix of rain and snow, accompanied by strengthening winds. Fog is also a possibility across the republic during the nighttime and early morning hours.

Temperature Outlook

Daytime temperatures in western, northern, and central Kazakhstan are projected to reach between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius. Eastern regions can expect temperatures between 10 and 18 degrees Celsius. The southern and southeastern parts of the country are forecast to enjoy the warmest weather, with highs ranging from 17 to 28 degrees Celsius.
