Late Singer Madina Eralieva's Diary Reveals Personal Struggles and Hopes

A touching excerpt from the personal diary of the late Kazakh singer Madina Eralieva has been shared online, offering a rare and intimate look into the beloved artist's inner world. The writings, shared by social media user Asset Akmolda, reveal her deep emotions, personal struggles, and unwavering hopes.

Concerns for Family

In the diary entries, Eralieva, often referred to as the "Nightingale of Kazakhstan," openly expresses her profound care for her only son, Arsen, and her sister. She also touches upon the distance that grew between her and Arsen's father, the renowned theater director Bolat Atabaev, and its impact on her life.

"I often traveled for concerts. During those times, I worried greatly, thinking, 'If my sister is left alone while looking after my child, I will be responsible for her fate.' Thank God, she is married now," the singer wrote.

Prioritizing Education and Values

Eralieva emphasized her desire for her son to receive his education in Kazakhstan, rather than abroad. Arsen's admission to university on a grant further solidified her belief in this path. She explained this decision stemmed from a desire to instill in him the value of self-reliance and belief in his own abilities, rather than depending on financial means.

"Many take pride in sending their children to study abroad; I had that opportunity too. However, I was afraid. Firstly, their lifestyle and worldview are different there. My child might become alienated. Secondly, it is possible to receive a strong education right here in our own country," she wrote.

Addressing Misconceptions and Health Worries

The singer also addressed certain public misconceptions about her life. She refuted claims that she received a Mercedes-Benz car as a gift from Mustafa Öztürk, clarifying that while they had a good relationship, she never received any significant gifts from him.

Eralieva also did not hide her growing concerns about her own health and that of her son in the later years of her life. "They say the evil eye is harmful... Never mind me, I am deeply worried about my son's health!" she penned.

A Bird in a Golden Cage

At times, Eralieva confessed to feeling overwhelmed by life's difficulties and experiencing profound loneliness. During such moments, she found solace in nature, singing her heart out to regain her composure.

"There were moments when I felt like a bird trapped in a golden cage. In those times, I would get in my car and drive to the mountains, to nature. I would sing loudly, my voice echoing through the mountains. It felt as if my turbulent emotions would find their course again," the late singer wrote.

Following the online sharing of these diary excerpts, social media users expressed their admiration for the singer's deep emotional insights and conveyed their gratitude.

Madina Eralieva tragically passed away in a car accident on November 27, 2000.
