Kazakhstan's well-known millionaire blogger, Kaysar Kamza, has been apprehended in Vietnam and is now under investigation for charges that led to an international search.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan confirmed the arrest, stating that Kamza was located in the city of Cam Ranh through the coordinated efforts of Interpol and law enforcement agencies from both Kazakhstan and Vietnam.

Allegations of Illegal Gambling Operations

According to the ministry, Kamza was on an international wanted list for allegedly organizing an illegal gambling business. Investigators believe the blogger systematically used his social media platforms to advertise online casinos, not just posting ads but actively encouraging his audience to participate in gambling activities.

The financial gains from these alleged illegal activities are substantial, with reports indicating that Kamza's earnings exceeded 100 million tenge. This money was reportedly transferred to cryptocurrency wallets registered in his name.

Authorities are currently in the process of arranging for Kamza's extradition to Kazakhstan to face legal proceedings.

Background of the Search

The search for Kaysar Kamza began earlier this year. In January, his name appeared on the legal statistics portal as a wanted individual, initiated by the Financial Monitoring Agency. The Economic Investigation Department in Astana was responsible for conducting the search operations. Official records indicate the search was registered on January 10, 2026.

It later emerged that Kamza was suspected of facilitating illegal gambling activities. The Financial Monitoring Agency detailed that for five years, Kamza actively maintained his Instagram account under the handle 'qais_arr', boasting nearly 2.4 million followers. He also managed a private Telegram channel called 'Qora Entertainment' with approximately 368,000 subscribers.

The agency stated that Kamza used his personal social media accounts to regularly post promotional videos and messages inviting Kazakh citizens to register and participate in gambling on the Pinco website. These posts often included a personal promo code offering bonuses.

Kaysar Kamza is a prominent Kazakh influencer who gained significant popularity by showcasing his lifestyle and travel videos from abroad on his Instagram page, which has around 2.4 million followers.

This is not the first time Kamza has faced scrutiny from authorities. He was previously held administratively liable for violating advertising laws, specifically for promoting illegal lotteries and online casinos. In one instance, he was fined 1.17 million tenge. Despite these penalties, regulators noted that the style and content of his online presence remained largely unchanged.

Additionally, a video Kamza recorded during a trip to India caused considerable public outcry. In the footage, the blogger used offensive language and displayed aggressive behavior towards local residents. While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan later reported no official notifications of violations from Indian authorities, the incident served as a reminder of the potential consequences for such conduct abroad.
